1213 ET - GE Vernova may be able to surpass its new 2028 targets, even as bullish as they are, UBS analysts say in a note. "GEV has a track record of overdelivering on targets, so we view these projections as positive for what ultimately could be delivered vs expectations," the analysts say. The company could beat guidance in its key power segment in particular, they say, noting its forecasts for the segment imply only 30% or higher incremental margins from 2025 to 2028. The metric will likely be much higher given pricing already in the company's backlog, the analysts say. "So, we think these projections, which are encouraging, likely provide a floor that can be surpassed," they say. "The bottom line is this is a very strong update from GEV." GE Vernova surges 14%.
