CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens lower amid tariff turmoil
April 7 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened lower on Monday, with energy stocks leading the losses, as the global market rout intensified after U.S. President Donald Trump showed no sign of backing away from his sweeping tariff plans.
At 9:31 a.m. ET (1331 GMT), the Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was down 3.5% at 22,383.84 points.
