Stock Track | Oklo Inc. Soars 7.88% Intraday on Friday as Reactor Achieves Criticality and Q2 Revenue Massively Beats Estimates

Stock Track08-07

Oklo Inc. shares surged 7.88% during intraday trading on Friday, extending earlier gains after the company announced a major technical milestone and reported quarterly revenue that far exceeded expectations.

The rally was fueled by news that the U.S. Department of Energy confirmed Oklo’s small nuclear reactor had achieved “criticality” status. This marks a pivotal step toward the commercialization of its advanced nuclear energy technology, coming just weeks after the company’s Groves Isotope Test Reactor received startup authorization and safety analysis approval. Investors view the achievement as a de-risking event for the company’s Aurora powerhouse product line.

Additionally, Oklo reported second-quarter revenue of $1.2 million, dramatically surpassing the FactSet consensus estimate of about $0.1 million. While the company posted a wider-than-expected net loss of $0.28 per share, the top-line beat and the criticality milestone overshadowed the earnings miss, driving strong buying interest during the session.
