Jiangsu Shagang Co.,Ltd. (Shagang) has officially entered into a strategic cooperation agreement with DingTalk, the Alibaba-owned workplace collaboration platform.
The partnership is centered on constructing a group-wide collaborative office foundation and implementing AI application scenarios, with a primary focus on utilizing DingTalk's Wukong AI and a suite of AI products as the core engine to drive the large-scale adoption of AI within the steel industry.
Chen Shaohui, Executive Director and Co-President of Shagang Group, and Chen Hang, founder of DingTalk and Wukong, attended the signing ceremony.
Founded in 1975, Shagang is China's largest privately-owned steel enterprise group, employing tens of thousands and operating across multiple global regions.
The core of this strategic collaboration involves building a comprehensive collaborative office platform for the entire group based on DingTalk's proprietary digital foundation and powered by Wukong AI as the intelligent engine.
The initiative aims to address practical business challenges in the steel sector and implement seven major AI-driven innovation and intelligent scenarios, facilitating the transformation of AI technology from mere "capability" to tangible "value."
At the collaborative office foundation level, Shagang will integrate its existing core business systems—such as OA, HR, and finance—into the DingTalk digital base.
This integration will enable unified account management, single sign-on, and data interoperability, supported by a hybrid private data storage model and enhanced security controls.
For AI scenario implementation, Shagang plans to fully adopt DingTalk's intelligent agent development platform and roll out the Wukong AI application across its entire group in the future, embedding it deeply into all aspects of daily operations.
Additionally, both parties will jointly advance the development of Shagang's AI talent pipeline through systematic AI training workshops, cultivating digital intelligence pioneers and creating replicable AI application scenarios and benchmark digital solutions.
