NVIDIA announced that AI cloud provider CoreWeave has put NVIDIA's Vera Rubin NVL72 into production and is offering related cloud services to customers, with AI software company Cognition becoming the first customer to run production workloads on Vera Rubin. Cognition's early testing showed that Vera Rubin NVL72 achieved total token throughput up to 4.8 times that of NVIDIA's GB200 NVL72 in real-world software engineering AI inference tasks. In addition, CoreWeave's testing showed that AI agent sandboxes powered by NVIDIA's Vera CPU started more than three times faster.
Apple (AAPL) closed up 1.10% with $16.437 billion in trading volume, ranking fifth. LG Electronics showcased a smart home AI voice assistant developed in partnership with Microsoft at a Microsoft industry summit held in Gangnam District, Seoul. The product is used in the smart home hub device "ThinQ ON" and is said to deliver a conversational experience close to human communication.
Tesla (TSLA) closed up 0.56% with $13.372 billion in trading volume, ranking eighth.
Alphabet (GOOGL) Class A shares closed up 0.93% with $12.578 billion in trading volume, ranking ninth. Alphabet launched Gemini 4 Argon after the bell on Wednesday, its most advanced AI model to date, with major improvements in coding, cybersecurity, and complex professional work. The company said the model set a new record in real-world software engineering, tied for first in cybersecurity, and led in another benchmark measuring performance on finance, legal, and other professional tasks.
SpaceX closed up 1.09% with $11.926 billion in trading volume, ranking tenth.
Intel (INTC) closed up 3.71% with $11.106 billion in trading volume, ranking eleventh.
Amazon (AMZN) closed up 1.01% with $10.308 billion in trading volume, ranking twelfth. The White House said that tech giants including Adobe, Amazon, Intel, Starlink, Google, and Zoom have joined a learning initiative launched by First Lady Melania Trump. According to a statement released by email, these technology partners have pledged more than $23 million to provide educational support, learning tools, and professional technical guidance to children worldwide.
