The U.S. Senate on Tuesday confirmed Kevin Warsh as a member of the Federal Reserve Board of Governors. A separate vote on his nomination to serve as Chair is expected later this week.
The Senate approved the nomination by a vote of 51 to 45, granting Warsh a 14-year term as a Governor. The Senate also plans to hold a procedural vote soon to pave the way for him to succeed Jerome Powell as Chair.
A confirmation vote on the Chair nomination could take place as early as Wednesday.
