Witkoff and Kushner are negotiating an end to the US involvement in the Iran war with the speaker of the Iranian parliament, Mohammad-Bagher Qalibaf, according to Axios.
The report, citing an Israeli official, said several countries were trying to arrange a meeting in Islamabad with Qalibaf, other Iranian officials, Witkoff, Kushner and possibly Vice President JD Vance later this eek.
The official said Israel was aware of indirect talks between the US and Tehran but was surprised by the speed of Trump’s announcement Monday of the five-day pause in US strikes.
